I took a break from digging and went exploring a little. Turns out just a bit down the beach was a path leading to a cave. I neatened it up and patched a few holes, though.

Oh I just noticed it was remembering my name but not a character in my tripcode. How troublesome.

Anyway, this cave led to a pretty interesting place.

The wall is coming along nicely. No more skeleton archers either. There were two in that weird cavern/canyon area I found, nearly killed me but THANKFULLY PIGS KEPT JUMPING OF THE TOP AND LEAVING RANDOM SAUSAGES EVERYWHERE. It's like a natural wonder of pork.

I should probably search for some iron ore. I could really use better equipment.

Yeah, there was this random hole with water running down in the underground passage to the canyon area, so I decided to go down.

Added ramparts at the bottom, too. Just incase some kind of evil skeleton army comes to lay siege to my cliff fortress.

I was running low on iron, so I decided to explore a bit. I thought it'd be a good idea to swim and dig in the random hole with water running down it, and I found a passage, but then I couldn't get up to the surface in time and drowned. Anyways I drained it and revealed a huge cave system.

I FOUND THE LAVA, GUYS.

This place seemed to be really huge so I got as much ore as I could with my remaining torches and made a temporary retreat.

So I was gathering sand and a bunch just fell down when I nudged it. Dug it up and found another cave next to my bottom fort. Guess I'll check this place out first. 10bux it connects with the other place.

The cave did connect... after a bit of digging. Anyway, I found out how to make a bucket, and got some seawater to make a cool water feature.

Small update. I died due to lava a few times and lost some buckets, so my lava moat will have to wait. In the meantime, I've levelled off the top of the fort and made it so monsters can't jump in.

And in the middle of it, yep, that's a chute down with TWO staircases and some cool glass architecture.

It goes through the middle section of my cliff; I was standing on the middle glass platform where the water goes through, looking in through the doorway.

Aaand it's due to connect with the Antechamber of Eternal Peril when I can be bothered to dig that far.

I just drowned a cow in the cleansing sacred water elevator. Am I a bad person?

Made a long passage out the back of the Antechamber of Eternal Peril and decided to make a vertical mineshaft with supplies around the top. It went down a very long way hitting no caves so I got bored and came back up.

I carried on the passage for a bit, hoping to hit the surface or something, but got bored and made stairs up to another passage directly above with glass flooring.

Dug my way up to the surface again, turned out to be on the top of a hill. Goddamnit why does this keep happening. I made a little fort to keep stuff (mainly cows) out.

Can see my cliff fortress through the clouds from here, guess I wasn't that far away after all.

Cool tower, huh? Builds through a tree an doesnt afraid of anything.

I headed back to my base and began work on a real tower, couldn't decide where the entrances would go because i didn't want only a 1 width walkway infront of the entrance.

I went back to the cave because I was out of iron, and duing my exploration I found this. It had spiders by it and a flaming spinning spider in it. I destroyed it because it was really creepy.

Decided I should grab myself some lava-OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK THAT IS HUGE.

I maded a saddle pig and put it in my fort :>

Retreated because 1 hearts. I made a forge room in the cliff because I discovered that HOLY SHIT COBBLESTONE SMELTS INTO STONE, and I'm not smelting 1k+ cobblestone in 4 furnaces. 16 should do the trick; If worst comes to worst I can double it to 32.

I had an urgent need for wood so I made this.

Dear god. I found a cave earlier while I was looking for branches, and explored it up unto a point that had a creepy drop into a big room, and cobblestoned it up as I wasn't equipped to go that deep. Mined the cave up to that point for ore/coal and went back to base. Came back here now to see how deep it goes, and I get a huge room with a door-like hole at one end. I'm scared, guys ;_;

Nearly lost my entire world due to some glitchy chunks. I spent hours fixing it but it's all good now. I made a canal to celebrate, but it filled up with sheep and pigs. Also a creeper ambushed me and blew up my boat :<

I guess a lot happened. I dug a hole to the bottom of the map through the tower. I managed to fail at jumping over my mini lava moat and died, losing my diamond pickaxe. I also failed at mining obsidian, and broke it and fell into a pit of lava losing all my gear.

I decided it was time for an expedition to get some much-needed supplies, and set my sights on a a small island at the end of a peninsula. I plan to construct a pyramid if the mining operation goes well.

SO YEAH THAT MINE WAS SHIT I DUG AROUND ON THE BOTTOM LEVEL OF THE MAP FOR LIKE 10 MINUTES AND NOTHIN' HAPPENED.

Ok after a series of unfortunate accidents, I had to abandon my new beach fort and mine. With no resources at all, I cannibalized my dock and under the cover of darkness, set out north for new adventures.

A flicker of light from an exposed lava flow caught my attention, and I decided to set up a camp nearby. When morning came, I quickly gathered resources and explored a few surface caverns before venturing into the lava vent. Unlike previous expeditions, this seemed to lead straight into a gigantic cave complex, which I am still in the process of mapping. It has numerous surface entrances marked by cobblestone walls and torches.

I fixed up the vent with the lava and stuff, and made myself a nice little lava feature.
